I'm a new Mom with a gorgeous 1 year old girl. My family and I relocated from sunny San Diego here to Kelowna last year. I am originally from Vancouver but my family has had a home here for the last 10 years and we wanted to be closer to them. Kelowna Fit is my new business here in Kelowna and I look forward to supporting and helping new moms reach new levels of fitness to keep up with their kiddos!

All ingredients are organic and purchased from Nature's Fare off Highway 97. PRO TIP: I use a sauce brush to add butter and syrup to my waffles to minimize how much I put on.
1 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour
3/4 cup Golden Flax Meal
1/2 cup Almond Meal
1/4 cup buttermilk powder
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
4 tsps baking powder
Mix all these ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. In a separate smaller bowl beat the eggs with a whisk then add the rest of the ingredients listed.
2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk
1 tblsp sourcream (optional, helps make them fluffier)
1 1/2 cups milk
Mix the liquid ingredients together then whisk into the larger mixing bowl and whisk everything together. I use about 3/4 of a cup of mix per waffle in my Oster waffle iron. PRO TIP: Once I've made my daughter's waffle (12 month old) I add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of almond essence to the mix for myself and my wife.
